Raining Cowboys

"It's raining cowboys grandma," the kid began to shout.
and sure enough the waddies were dropping all about.

"It's just old Steamboat," granny said, "Of that I have no doubt
tossing boys, like paper planes in a classroom free time bout.

All those het up cowboys think they've got the clout
for stickin to that horse, like sauer on the kraut.

Just like the postal letters, each rider has his route
and once they get a postmark you'd best be looking out."

Grandma knew the steam was blowing from ole Steamboat's snout.
"Son, that ornery hurricane is making each guy shout

tossing him skyhigh to end the flying cowboy drought.

They should give 'em parachutes cause they are sure 'nuff bailing out.
