Boot Power

I saw a western movie once when I was just a kid
I watched the good guy whip the bad, he wasn't too well hid.

Then I forgot about it and grew up till I stopped.
I grew up in the city, my cowboy dream had popped.

Then, one time traveling, I put on a western boot.
I wanted to see how it felt, just a latent cowboy hoot.

Next thing I knew, I'd bought a pair and wore them everywhere.
Then something else took over me, I started acting fair.

I said, "Excuse me ma'am" to some and, "Can I help you sir?"
and started looking at the world without the city blur.

I still live in the city but I've got a cowboy code
"Everyone wear western boots, before you hit the road."
